Target is a pretty popular place. There are 1,844 Targets across America, so if you live there chances are you’ve been inside one at some point. But there are some Target secrets you may not know if all you do is shop there. These 40 secrets have all at some point been revealed by the staff who work there. So when you go to Target, be extra nice to them!
40. Different items are marked down on different days
A blog called All Things Target knows the secret to getting the best deal. The store has a schedule they use for marking down items, it transpires. Monday is child and baby clothing, books, stationery, electronics and accessories. Tuesday is women’s clothing, food and pet items. Wednesday is diapers, gardening, furniture, health and beauty and menswear. Thursday is shoes, sports, décor, luggage, lingerie, houseware and toys. And Friday is jewelry, cosmetics, auto products and hardware. Remember that!
39. Shop for toys in January and July
Here’s some advice for parents (and perhaps non-parents who just really like toys): the best Target deals for toys take place in mid-January and late July. That’s when the store clears out all its old merchandise from the toy section. So you might have to wait longer for a particular must-have item, but you’ll get it cheaper.
