He came roaring right out of the gate with the 2001 runaway hit song “Austin” – a track that topped the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for five weeks. It quickly established the twangy trailblazer as one to watch out for in the country genre. Moreover, his self-titled debut album released later that year further cemented his potential.
He had no problem living up to the hype, going on to release successful albums such as Blake Shelton’s Bar & Grill, Startin’ Fires, and Bringing Back the Sunshine. He can add latest record Texoma Shore to that pristine list too. Released in November 2017, Shelton’s most recent attempt soared to the top of the charts.
Aside from his musical output, however, Shelton is best known for his judging contributions on The Voice. He’s been on the talent show since it first began airing, but he began getting extra close to one of the judges while he was going through his divorce from Miranda Lambert.
