It might be nice to daydream about having a super-rich celebrity parent and one day getting your paws on their squillions. Indeed, imagine having Sting, Bill Gates or Nigella Lawson as your mom or dad. And yet, even though those people have millions, they don’t necessarily plan to leave it to their offspring. The martial artist and actor is a big star in both America and his native China. Specifically, Jackie Chan is beloved for his acrobatic skills and physical comedy. His multiple Rush Hour movies with Chris Tucker have been major successes worldwide, earning him a stash of cash.

Indeed, Chan’s estimated to be worth about $140 million, but he has no intention of turning his son into a trust fund child. In fact, he believes it will be good for him to earn his own way in life. While that may sound cold, Chan’s actually quite the charitable fellow and has set up his own philanthropic foundation.
