Singer and actress Jennifer Hudson is immensely talented, but sadly she’s still suffered a lot of tragedy in her life. Now, another distressing thing appears to have happened to her. She’s split from her fiancé, professional WWE wrestler David Otunga. So far, it’s been a very messy and painful breakup. But she’s also made some worrying claims about his behavior during their relationship.
Jennifer Hudson first came to public attention on the talent show American Idol. She actually came in seventh place, something that would have doomed many people to future obscurity, but not Hudson. In 2005, the year after her Idol exit, she was cast in the musical Dreamgirls as Effie White, alongside Beyoncé Knowles and Eddie Murphy.
Dreamgirls came out in 2006, and catapulted Hudson into instant fame. In February 2007, she picked up the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. “Oh, my God, I have to just take this moment in. I cannot believe this,” she said on stage, overwhelmed. “Look what God can do. I didn’t think I was going to win.” But win she did.
