Alba went on to land major parts in dance flick Honey, neo-noir Sin City and action adventure Into the Blue. Her profile received another major boost when she was cast as Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman, in the Fantastic Four franchise. By the end of the ’00s, she’d also appeared in the likes of Awake, The Eye and The Love Guru.

Alba remained just as popular a draw in the next decade, landing parts in The Killer Inside Me, Valentine’s Day, Machete and Little Fockers. Her most recent films have included The Veil, Mechanic: Resurrection and Barely Lethal. In 2013, she topped the New York Times Best Seller list with her autobiographical book The Honest Life.

But her biggest achievements have been as a businesswoman. In 2012 she launched a non-toxic household products company which just two years later was valued at a whopping one billion dollars. The Honest Company’s rapid success saw Alba hailed as ‘America’s Richest Self-Made Woman’ by Forbes Magazine.
