While Little People, Big World provided an in-depth look into how a little person goes about their day, the reality show did have a plot of sorts. Matt plied his trade as a businessman, working with several companies based in Silicon Valley, California. However, his life changed forever after he lost his job.
Matt then sensed an opportunity to chase down one of his dreams. Taking advantage of the experience he had gained in his previous position, the father decided to start a business of his own. As a result of that, he recruited the services of his wife Amy, who at that time had been looking after their children at home.
With all the pieces in place, Matt and Amy opened up Roloff Farms, their new family business. Based in Oregon, the property spans more than 30 acres of land. On that note, the show follows the Roloffs as they run the farm and go about their daily routines, capturing the hardships that sometimes come with that.
