The Mowry siblings are well known as an acting family. Identical twins Tia and Tamera famously starred in Sister, Sister, while their younger brother Tahj has a list of acting credits including Smart Guy, Kim Possible and Full House. But did you know that there’s a fourth sibling in the family? That would be Tavior Mowry, and his story is a very interesting one.
The four Mowry siblings are the children of Darlene and Timothy Mowry. Darlene and Timothy had originally met in high school; after that, however, both of them joined the U.S. Army and individually made it to the ranking of sergeant. Then, when the couple decided to start a family, the twin girls came along first. Tahj arrived next, and then Tavior was born.
And Tia and Tamera were the first of the family to catch the showbiz bug, it seems. As children, the twins took part in talent shows while their family lived at Fort Hood, Texas. Then, eventually, the 12-year-old sisters persuaded Darlene to take them to California so that they could try acting. That proved to be a very worthwhile decision, all told.
