Tia, Tamera and Tahj all subsequently made appearances on the show Full House as children – and this proved to be especially beneficial for the twins’ careers. After a producer spotted Tia and Tamera on that show, they were cast in the main roles in Sister, Sister – a sitcom about twins who were removed from each other at birth and then brought back together as teenagers.
Ultimately, Sister, Sister became a huge success. And not long after that, Tahj had his own hit, as he became the star of the sitcom Smart Guy – about a super-intelligent 12-year-old called T.J. Henderson. But although Tahj loved acting, he also had a passion for sports. At that point in his life, his big ambition was to be a football player in the NFL.
And that was an ambition shared by Tahj’s brother and the youngest Mowry sibling, Tavior. Tavior wanted nothing more than to play football, and while his siblings concentrated on acting, he set his mind to a career on the field. The children’ parents dealt with their kids’ goals appropriately, though; Darlene took charge of her offspring’s lives on camera, while Timothy handled their sporting dreams.
