Crocodile Dundee is still one of the most iconic movies to ever come from Down Under. It made millions at the box office and spawned its own franchise, while leading man Paul Hogan declared it “Australia’s first proper movie.” But where are the cast 30 years on? Well, sadly some of them – like John Meillon, who played Walter – are no longer with us, but here’s a look at how the key players in the first two movies fared.

12. Gerry Skelton – Nugget

Like many of his fellow cast members, Gerry Skelton never relived the commercial success he’d found in Crocodile Dundee. And that’s a pity, because Nugget was one of the best characters in the movies, and it looked like Skelton could easily have taken his talents elsewhere.

In fact, Skelton is still well known for playing the popular character all these years later. “Since completing Dundee I’ve never been able to drop the handle on Nugget because people just won’t let me,” he told Australian newspaper The Morning Bulletin. And in 2010 he attempted to turn that notoriety into a TV show called Nugget’s Get A Life. Unfortunately, however, the series never materialized.
