Jay-Z and Beyoncé have experienced various marriage troubles over the years, but unlike most other power couples, they haven’t been afraid to air their dirty laundry in public. Indeed, both parties have freely discussed their relationship problems on their past few respective records. Yet judging by a recent interview with the rapper, the pair remain crazy in love.
Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s backgrounds couldn’t be more different. Born Shawn Carter, the former was raised by his single mother in a Brooklyn housing project, where he once shot his brother, was shot at himself three times and became a crack cocaine dealer. He began his rap career selling CDs from his own car.
Contrastingly, Beyoncé grew up in a relatively affluent Houston neighborhood, where she attended a performing arts school and sang in a church choir. She earned her first taste of fame aged 12 with an appearance on Star Search as part of Girl’s Tyme. The star was also managed by father Mathew, who resigned from his job to take control of her career.
