20. Ozzy Osbourne

Ozzy Osbourne became a rock star in the ’70s with his band Black Sabbath, and he never really stopped being one. Over the decades the rocker has constantly been dogged by controversy, not to mention the odd bat-beheading. But despite this – or more likely because of it – he’s still renowned today as the “Godfather of Heavy Metal.”

19. Gene Simmons

Now that he’s 67 years old, Kiss guitarist Gene Simmons seems to have grown somewhat cynical about rock. In fact, in a famous Esquire interview in 2014, he claimed that the genre was “finally dead.” And yet Simmons still relives his heyday every now and then by slapping on his trademark makeup and performing.
