Kourtney Kardashian Said That She’d Been Robbed, So She Dramatically Confronted The Alleged Culprit

Kourtney Kardashian may seem to have it all, but in October of 2019, she realized that she was missing a few things. Namely, a large sum of money and an iPad allegedly that went missing from her home. It didn’t take long, though, for the reality star’s security team to pinpoint who had taken everything. And Kourtney didn’t wait to confront this person face to face.

As it turned out, the suspected culprit hadn’t just snatched cash and a tablet from Kourtney’s home. The person may have also hacked into the star’s cellphone, giving them access to her texts and other personal information. With that, Kourtney sprung into action, not only kicking off a showdown with the offender, but completely de-bugging her home, just in case.

With the money gone and Kourtney’s phone compromised, though, she learned an valuable lesson. And the star found out the hard way not to trust just anyone. She then vowed to remain diligent after the incident, preventing certain people from ever coming into her home again to avoid making the same mistake twice.

Long before Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the family at the center of the popular E! reality show was just like any other. Kourtney Mary Kardashian was the first of four children born to dad Robert and mom Kris. Later, sisters Kimberly and Khloe and brother, Robert joined their brood.

Twelve years after Kourtney’s birth, Robert and Kris decided to go their separate ways. Their divorce, though, gave the matriarch a chance to marry Olympics decathlon gold medalist Caitlyn Jenner. The couple then had two daughters of their own – Kendall and Kylie. Robert’s life would change dramatically, too. During O.J. Simpson’s high-profile murder trial, the Kardashian helped defend the former football player.

Nevertheless, Kourtney’s life followed a somewhat traditional trajectory during this time, too. She went to a Los Angeles-based Catholic high school for girls, before packing her bags and moving to Texas. There, she studied at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, but later transferred to the University of Arizona.

There, Kourtney studied alongside the likes of Nicole Richie and future Sacramento Kings coach Luke Walton. She graduated from Arizona with a major in Theater Arts, alongside Spanish as a secondary subject. And she’d put her degree to use in a somewhat roundabout way. First, she appeared on a reality show called Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive, in which she competed to earn cash for charity.

But it would be Kourtney’s sister Kim’s rise to fame that ensured the entire family’s future in Hollywood. In 2007, Kim – along with Kris, Caitlyn, Kourtney, Khloe, Rob, Kendall and Kylie – became the stars of their own reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The series became an immediate hit for the E! network.

Not only was Keeping Up with the Kardashians successful in itself, it served as a spring board for the family. Indeed, the show helped the siblings launch a handful of spin-offs and a slew of business ventures. The eldest sister, in fact, starred in two such series – Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami and Kourtney and Kim Take New York.

All the while, the Kardashian women ran a boutique called D-A-S-H, which had outposts in L.A., New York City and Miami. Kourtney and Kris also collaborated to open Smooch, a children’s clothing store, with locations on both coasts. And, more recently, the eldest sibling started her own lifestyle brand and website called Poosh in 2019.

As Kourtney shared on the Poosh website, she launched the brand because “people are constantly asking [her] how [she does] it all.” Plus, she wrote, “Healthy living gets a bad rap; it’s as though if you care about what you put in – or on – your body, then you’re not sexy or cool. But this just isn’t true, and Poosh is here to prove just that.”

As that statement hinted, Kourtney leads a busy life – and not just because of her brand or reality TV commitments. She has also had a high-profile relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Scott Disick. The one-time couple met in 2006, when they both attended a party at Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis’ Mexico abode.

Francis told In Touch magazine, “I introduced Kourtney and Scott at my house in Mexico. Scott came as the guest of a friend of mine, and they met in my master bedroom.” The timing of their relationship meant that Disick would also appear on season one of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, specifically when the new couple thought they were pregnant.

Two years after that, Kourtney and Disick traversed a very rough patch in their relationship. The pair broke up when she found out he was texting another woman. But, at the time, Kourtney was also expecting their first child. So, the couple reconciled prior to their son Mason’s birth in December 2009.

In July 2012, Kourtney and Disick became parents once more – this time, to their daughter Penelope. But things would again spiral for the couple when, in late 2013, Disick’s mother died. That tragedy was compounded just two months later with the death of his father in January 2014. He admitted to being angered by the loss of both parents at a young age.

Disick’s anger kept him away from Kourtney and the home they share even after the reality star found out she was pregnant for a third time. He checked in and out of rehab before and after the birth of that child, son Reign, in 2014. But after the three-time father got caught partying post-rehab the next year, the couple broke up for good.

Obviously, the ups and downs of Kourtney and Disick’s relationship have featured prominently on Keeping Up With the Kardashians and in the tabloids. Even after their break-up, they’ve continued to make headlines for the way they maintain their co-parenting relationship. And the new people they date get plenty of attention, too.

For Disick’s part, he was very vocally against Kourtney’s now ex-boyfriend, model Younes Bendjima. According to People magazine in 2018, a source revealed that Disick “hated” Bendjima and he was “happy things are over.” For her part, Kourtney supposedly broke up with the 25-year-old model because she didn’t want to repeat past mistakes.

Meanwhile, a second anonymous source explained that Kourtney “[isn’t] seeing Younes. After all the drama with Scott over the years, she wasn’t going to put up with any drama from Younes.” They added that she felt “happy being single.” Meanwhile, Disick moved on with Sofia Richie, the 21-year-old daughter of singer Lionel Richie.

At first, Kourtney, Disick and Richie had their fair share of drama. For one thing, the father-of-three introduced his children to Richie without consulting Kourtney first. On a 2018 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she expressed her anger, saying, “It’s called giving someone a heads up and having a respectful conversation.”

Then, Richie was made uncomfortable by an Instagram post that Kourtney made while she, Disick and their kids vacationed together. The caption accompanying the picture noted that she and her ex had both greeted the morning in the same property. That information rubbed Richie the wrong way, a source told Us magazine.

Over time, though, Kourtney and Richie have had a positive shift in their interactions. A source said, “Kourtney and Sofia have a very understanding relationship and reciprocate respect toward one another.” And, with rumors swirling that Richie and Disick may get engaged in the future, it’s good they have found solid ground.

Still, sometimes the tension between Disick and Kourtney flares up, and a 2019 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians showed how heated they can get. Cameras were following the exes, their three children and Richie on a family vacation to Finland. At one point, all six of them decided to climb into the hot tub. And that’s when things became uncomfortable.

At first, all goes well – the scene starts with Kourtney helping Richie to fix her makeup. As the women chat, it’s Disick who appears to be completely uncomfortable. He then makes a sarcastic comment about the international family trip, saying, “This is nice. We flew to Finland to get in the hot tub.”

With that, Kourtney turns to Disick and replies to his remark. She says, “You’re so negative,” hinting that her ex’s attitude has been poor throughout the getaway. Then, the Poosh founder continues, “You definitely were looking for a reason to leave. You could just say, ‘This isn’t for me and we’re gonna go.’”

Ultimately, though, Kourtney says she planned the vacation for her family to enjoy – and Disick seemed interested in taking part. She admits in a confessional, “Scott really wanted to come with us to Finland, so I don’t know why he’s just having such a negative attitude. I just want everyone to have a great time and a great experience.”

Unfortunately for Kourtney, drama follows her back home on this season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, too. A later episode of the series shows the mom-of-three as she realizes that quite a few things have gone missing from her home. In fact, she alleges that someone has taken $700 from her, as well as $4,500 from Disick and an iPad.

Perhaps even worse, though, Kourtney says that the suspect has also spent plenty of alone time with her children. Without naming any names, she makes it clear who she believes is behind the thievery – and it seems to be one of her household employees. Kourtney tells her sister Khloe, “This lady stole $700 out of my wallet.”

The situation gets worse when Kourtney consults with her on-site security team, who have supposedly noticed suspicious behavior from the woman, too. Kourtney says they’ve “seen her two times with her flashlight on in the office.” With that, the mom-of-three swears, “She’s never coming here again.”

Khloe reiterates the fact that the alleged thief has been around Kourtney’s kids. She presses home the point that this employee’s supposed behavior shows that she might not have the strongest moral compass. Then, Kourtney’s intel source reveals another terrifying truth about the suspect – she has supposedly hacked into reality star’s devices as well.

The intel also reveals that the alleged wrongdoer is sifting through Kourtney’s phone at that exact moment. This information leads the stunned reality star to exclaim, “She’s looking at my texts?” Then, the mom-of-three calmly drops a bomb of her own – the suspect is still in her home. In fact, she’s working just downstairs from where the sisters are talking.

Khloe persuades Kourtney to “stand [her] ground” and do something about the alleged robbery right away. Khloe shouts, “Go say something to her!” So, the mom-of-three heads downstairs with her pal Stephanie Shepherd by her side. Khloe follows behind them, exclaiming, “This is so good. This is better than Real Housewives!”

Just as Kourtney gets outside to confront her staffer, though, the woman drives away from the scene. All the Poosh founder can say in response is, “Oh my God.” Then, she gets down to business to clean up the supposed thief’s mess. She gives her assistant, Megan, a huge list of to-dos to protect her home.

Kourtney asks Megan to change passwords to the iTunes account the family use and disconnect any devices linked to her personal phone. Even more scarily, though, Kourtney tasks her assistant with debugging the house, just in case her now-former employee had hidden any sort of recording devices around the home.

Of course, Kourtney takes legal action against the alleged robber, too. She files a police report and returns home for a final cleansing after the stressful ordeal. Khloe then leads her older sister and Kris through a sage-centric ritual. The elder Kardashian sibling embraces the ceremonial task, as she’s ready to leave her former employee’s “bad vibes” behind.

Khloe then chimes in to say, “If they’re not here to elevate, make sure they get on the elevator out of here.” Kourtney can only agree with her younger sister. She says, “Only allow positive people into our lives!” It’s a piece of advice she’s sure to carry with her and one of the biggest takeaways after such an incident.

Indeed, Kourtney vows that she has learned an enormous lesson after someone she trusted supposedly stole from her. She promises to never let anyone into her home until she knows their name, address and social security number. Ultimately, though, it’s Disick – whose money allegedly got taken, too – who points out the bright side of the situation.

Disick says, “At the end of the day, at least [the employee] wasn’t doing anything around the kids.” Kourtney agreed, noting that the most vital action had already been taken – a worker with seemingly sinister intentions had been removed from her home. The mom-of-three then said, “She’s out of here.”

That episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians definitely followed a serious storyline. But, the show has had its bright moments this season, too. In the episode following Kourtney’s robbery, her sister, Kim, and her husband, rapper Kanye West, renewed their vows after welcoming their fourth child, son Psalm.

As for Kourtney, she has clearly moved forward after the alleged robbery. The Poosh founder and healthy living advocate let her proverbial hair down in an October 21, 2019, Instagram post. The picture showed her stocking up on a pile of unhealthy snacks, and she captioned it with a single emoji – a smiling purple devil.
